Urban Meyer: Buckeyes’ Marcus Baugh suspended two games for ‘stuff’
Ohio State Buckeyes’ tight end Marcus Baugh has been suspended two games, head coach Urban Meyer said at a press conference on Monday. Baugh didn’t travel to Baltimore for the Buckeyes’ 34-17 win against the Navy Midshipmen. That was due to his suspension, Meyer explained.

Why is Baugh suspended?
“Stuff,” Meyer said, via Cleveland.com.
The former four-star was an important member of the 2013 recruiting class, however, Baugh had been struggling to prove to his coaches that he is a positive influence on the team. He was caught underage drinking for a second time in January and was on hot water with the coaches. His relationship with the coaches appeared better until this suspension.
The 6-foot-4, 240 pound tight end may not have a huge impact on the team this year, but once senior Jeff Heuerman departs next year, Baugh will be the guy at tight end. At the high school level, he showed he can be counted on in the passing game, accounting for 68 catches, nearly 1,200 yards and 10 touchdowns in his final two seasons, via Cleveland.com.
He released a statement back in April about his underage drinking incidents:
“(My past) definitely opened my eyes,” Baugh said. “I am out of chances and I have to do this … I (feared I wouldn’t be on the team) after my second incident. I thought I was gone. But now I am learning the offense and trying to go hard.”
