The Miami Heat had a tough offseason due to losing superstar franchise player LeBron James, but they were able to bring back both Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade. Bosh received a maximum contract worth $118 million over five years, and is expected to be the main offensive option for them this year. He has been considered the weak link of the “Big Three” for the Heat over the past few seasons, and he will finally have his chance to prove exactly what type of player he can be.

Back in his days with the Toronto Raptors, he was one of the most lethal scorers in the entire NBA. He may not have that type of production left in him at this point in his career, but he will likely still be able to put up the numbers that the Heat will need out of him. At just 30 years of age, he has plenty of time to take on the extra scoring load and prove himself to a league that has allowed him to be forgotten behind the superstar names of James and Wade.

Bosh ended up averaging 16.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks per game last season, and was an extremely efficient offensive presence. He ended up shooting 51.6 percent from the floor overall, and upped his three-point percentage to 33.9. There are a lot of reasons for the Heat and their fans to be excited about Bosh receiving an expanded role, and he has shown the ability to step up to the task in the past.

What five ways will Bosh help out the Heat during the 2014-15 season?
