College football just began and that means only one thing for hardcore hoops fans; college basketball is just around the corner. Labor Day has come and gone and the tip-off of the 2014 college basketball season is a little over two months away. But that doesn’t mean it’s too early to take a peak at this season’s biggest returning names. We at FanSided put together an elite list of college basketball’s marquee players that decided to forgo the 2014 NBA draft for at least one more year on campus.

In the era of one-and-dones it’s refreshing to see such a talented group of players choose to come back to school after their freshman year and beyond. Not only are these players honing their skills before heading to the pros, they’re enjoying their college lives like they should be doing. Perhaps not all the names on this list are household names — yet. But by tournament time all of these players, and their respective talents, will be common knowledge among all college hoops fans around the country. Likewise, all of these players have their sights set on bringing home a national championship to their school; and each has a legitimate chance at doing so.

Without further ado I present to you the top 5 returning players of the 2014 season.
