Patrick Allen, FanSided VP of Content: Barkevious Mingo, Cleveland Browns. Sidelined by injuries last season, Mingo has all the talent to emerge on a talented Browns defense that has been underachieving the last few seasons. Look for Cleveland’s D to grow up this season and look for Mingo to lead the way.

Josh Sanchez, Editor-in-Chief, FanSided.com: Jamie Collins, New England Patriots. Collins got some valuable playing time as a rookie and that will only help him as he sets out for a breakout sophomore campaign. With the new-look Patriots offense receiving a lot of attention because of the secondary, it is Collins who is one of the most well-rounded players that the team has on defense and his ability to defend the run or pass will give the Patriots a stud linebacker that they have been searching for. On the offensive side of the ball, Zac Ertz and Markus Wheaton will be two players to watch.

Mike Dyce, Editor, FanSided.com: Ben Tate, Cleveland Browns. He wanted out from Arian Foster’s shadow and he got his wish. While there was a lot of promise about the Cleveland Browns offense, it looks like they’re headed to another season relying on the running back for offense behind shaky quarterback play, like what we’ve seen from both Brian Hoyer and Johnny Manziel in the preseason. Add in a less than convincing understudy performance from rookie Terrance West and it looks like Tate could be getting the keys to the offense.

Jack Jorgensen, Editor, FanSided.com: Tavon Austin, St. Louis Rams. With Bradford out, he’s going to be called upon to shoulder a lot. And with his better understanding of the playbook, he can pull it off.

Josh Hill, Editor, FanSided.com: Trent Richardson, Indianapolis Colts. He was showing flashes with the Cleveland Browns but was lost once he got traded to the Indianapolis Colts. Some are saying that the Colts are Super Bowl bound, and that will mean Richardson breaks out and becomes the elite runner he was always thought of as being.
