Report: Michael Wacha to start for St. Louis Cardinals Thursday
By Phil Watson
According to a report, the St. Louis Cardinals will get a piece of their starting rotation back on Thursday, when right-hander Michael Wacha returns from the disabled list.
Wacha has missed nearly three months because of a stress fracture in his shoulder, but according to CBSSports.com, Wacha will start Thursday when the Cardinals open a four-game series against the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park.

The 23-year-old was 4-1 in five postseason starts, including two scoreless outings against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series.
Wacha worked two innings and threw 34 pitches in a rehab start with Double-A Springfield over the weekend. He allowed one hit, walked one and struck out one.
He was a first-round pick, 19th overall, by the Cardinals in the June 2012 amateur draft out of Texas A&M.
