Jeremy Maclin on Nick Foles: ‘This is his team’

Since taking over for Michael Vick in Week 5 of last season, Foles has been one of the hottest quarterbacks in the NFL. Last year Foles put up astronomical numbers that literally no one could have expected from the second year player.
By year’s end, Foles statline included 2,891 yards and 27 touchdowns with only two interceptions. His sensational run led Foles to be selected to the Pro Bowl last year, and with his first full season ahead of him, the sky is the limit for Foles and the Eagles.
Jeremy Maclin, who is returning from an ACL injury that kept him off the field for all of 2013, recently noted that the Eagles are Nick Foles’ team:
Many pundits believe that Foles, LeSean McCoy, and Chip Kelly can potentially bring this team to the promise land. If the Eagles have any chance to make or win the Super Bowl, however, they will need Foles to continue his astonishing output and efficiency for the 2014 season.
As Maclin said, Foles is the leader in the locker room and on the field. Now it is up to the rest of the team to follow Foles’ lead to the playoffs and beyond.
