The Los Angeles Clippers acquired guard J.J. Redick last year in hopes he could help provide them with instant offense and timely shooting, knocking down the open shots Chris Paul creates for him. The Clippers seem like a great fit for Redick but he missed 47 games due to injuries.

Jesse Blancarte of Basketball Insiders believes Redick could be in for a big season now that he is healthy.

"And Redick is no slouch on defense either. At just 6’4, 190 pounds, Redick gives up size to a lot of the guards he faces on a nightly basis. But Redick is a smart team defender, knowing when to switch, and how to funnel his opponents towards DeAndre Jordan for a potential block. Redick will occasionally get burned by bigger shooting guards, but he holds his own on most nights……However, he returned in time for the playoffs, and contributed 13.3 points per game and 40 percent shooting from beyond-the-arc. If Redick can stay healthy next season, and if the Clippers can push past the second round of the Playoffs, Redick may finally get some of the recognition he already deserves."

Last season, Redick put up 15.2 points, 2.2 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game while shooting 45.5% from the floor, 39.5% from three and 91.5% from the floor. Redick was drafted by the Orlando Magic with the 11th-overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft and remained in Orlando until he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in 2013. In his eight-year career, he’s averaged 9.9 points, 2.0 assists and 1.8 rebounds per game while shooting 43.2% from the floor, 39.0% from beyond the arc and 88.5% from the charity stripe.
