Michael Sam expected to wear number 46 with Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys officially introduced Michael Sam as the newest member of their 10-man practice squad on Wednesday and we were told the tentative plan for what jersey number he will wear as a member of the team.
That number is 46.
But before you ask yourself why it is important to know what number Sam will wear, remember that he had one of the top rookie jerseys in sales.
The tentative plan is for Michael Sam to wear number 46. So… who sells more jerseys: #Cowboys 46 or #Browns 2?

Of course, the Cowboys aren’t going to be able to roll out No. 46 Sam jerseys for sale right out of the gate because he will need to change his number if he is called up to the Dallas Cowboys active roster, according to ESPN’s Darren Rovell.
Michael Sam will be assigned #46 with Cowboys. Will complicate jersey sales since he won’t wear that # if activated.
