In 2012, the Denver Nuggets dealt Arron Afflalo to the Orlando Magic in a four-team deal that sent Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers and netted the Nuggets Andre Iguodala. This offseason, the Nuggets struck a deal to bring Afflalo back.

More from Denver Nuggets

According Jesse Blancarte of Basketball Insiders, Afflalo probably should have been an All-Star last season and has the goal of becoming one this year.

"“It’s next level for me, hopefully that entails [becoming an] All-Star,” Afflalo said. “I learned firsthand last year that it’s somewhat of a team goal as well. You have to be on a good team and you have to be playing competitive basketball while being a good player a well.”Afflalo, arguably, should have been selected as an All-Star last season, but was left off in favor of Joe Johnson. Now that Afflalo is back in Denver, alongside talented played like Ty Lawson, Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler, and Kenneth Faried, he has the chance to get back into the Playoffs and show the league that he is one of the most underrated shooting guards in the NBA."

Afflalo had a fantastic season for the Magic and should help the Nuggets again compete for a playoff spot.

Afflalo averaged  18.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game while shooting 45.9% from the field, 42.7% from beyond the arc and 81.5% from the free throw line. In his seven-year career, he’s gone for 11.1 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game while shooting 45.9% from the floor, 42.7% from three and 81.5% from the charity stripe.
