NBA 2K15 is set to release right alongside the competition of NBA Live 15 in October.  Both games are looking to make leaps forward, albeit NBA Live 15 to a further extent, from their previous versions.  With the upcoming release of the 2K Sports basketball title, we now have a look at how some of the rookies will stack up in the game.

Thanks to Steve Noah of Operation Sports, we have a list of some of the bigger name rookie additions in NBA 2K15.

Jabari Parker checks in as the highest rated rookie.  While Parker wasn’t the first overall pick, he probably could have laid claim to the slot.  While Andrew Wiggins is a great long-term product, he has more raw ability at this point in his career.

The Milwaukee Bucks selected Jabari Parker with their first round selection.  He will immediately need to provide solid minutes to help them turn around their franchise.

Missing from the list is high-profile Philadelphia 76ers draft pick, Joel Embiid.

As NBA 2K15 gets closer and closer to release, basketball fans are starting to clamor for the return of their sport.  With Kevin Love and LeBron James teaming up in Cleveland this offseason, there are plenty of storylines to monitor in the upcoming season.

NBA 2K15 has long been the front-runner when it comes to basketball video games, however, NBA Live 15 looks to have taken some very considerable steps forward, and should provide some immediate competition to 2K’s title in their second year back to the market.

Look to hit the hardwood with NBA 2K15 on October 7.
