Both teams come into this game 1-0 after successful outings last week in their openers.
USC was able to handily take care of Fresno State to start the year last week, getting the Steve Sarkisian era off to a rousing start. Despite the distraction of the recent Josh Shaw debacle, this team was able to shake that all off and walk away with the win.
Stanford was also victorious in their opening game last weekend over UC-Davis, 45-0. The defense looked about as stout as ever for head coach David Shaw and the rest of the coaching staff, but they face a tough test this week with this high-powered USC offense, which missed very few beats last weekend against Fresno.
