The Jadeveon Clowney era in Houston is getting off to a very slow start and that start just got a lot worse. After leaving Sunday’s victory over the Washington Redskins, Clowney has been diagnosed with an injury a lot worse than initially thought.

More from Houston Texans

According to Houston Texans beat writer John McClain, Clowney could be out as many as six weeks as he needs surgery to repair his meniscus.

This is not what the Texans wanted to hear after Clowney’s first week with the team. he suffered a concussion in the preseason, had a hip problem and now has a torn meniscus that will wipe out most of his season.

There were questions about his conditioning after mailing in his last season with the South Carolina Gamecocks, and so far he’s not doing a good job of proving he made a good decision.
