Alabama’s signature expression, “Roll Tide” has become pretty famous along with Michigan’s “Go Blue,” Texas’ “Hook ‘Em Horns,” LSU’s “Geaux Tigers” and more. But, apparently a manufacturer didn’t quite realize the mistake before this awfully duplicitous and overall confusing hat was put on shelves.

The red hat displays the South Carolina Gamecocks logo and on the right side of the brim, it says in bold white letters, “Roll Tide.”

More from College Football

This obviously leads to some questions. How much of an accident was this? How many thousands of people are outraged right now? Because if you know anything about college football, you know that you do not mix up two SEC teams on anything. Granted, Alabama and South Carolina do share a similar red color, but this is a huge mistake.

What the hat is perfect for:

1. A human being that is both a South Carolina and Alabama fan. Perhaps a mother that has children going to both schools (unlikely, but fair) otherwise this fan should and will not exist.

2. A really really really bad hair day. One wear you don’t care what you cover it up with and you grab the first hat you see in the store.

3. Garbage cans. This manufacturer and store, that will remain unnamed for obvious reasons (crazy fan boycotts), really messed up and hopefully these hats will find their way into the garbage before anyone else can tweet pictures of them consequently enraging half of the United States.
