LSU WR Travin Dural involved in car accident, status unclear for weekend
By Jack Crosby
Wide receiver was not expected to be a point of strength for this year’s LSU Tigers team with the losses of both Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry, but sophomore Travin Dural has put those worries to rest with his performances in the first two games. However, we might not get to see what he can do in the third game for LSU this weekend against Louisiana-Monroe, as his status is up in the air following an accident.

Dural was involved in a car accident on Saturday night in Baton Rouge following the team’s win over Sam Houston State and he did suffer minor injuries. Because of the injuries that he sustained in the wreck, it’s not clear at this time whether or not he’ll take the field on Saturday evening for Les Miles and the Tigers.
Throughout the first two games of the season, with the load entirely on his shoulders, Dural has been phenomenal, catching six balls for 291 yards, which is the best start to this point for a wide receiver in the history of LSU Football.
In the accident, Dural was hit from behind and he suffered a gash on the forehead that ultimately required stitches, and he has a pretty nasty bump on his head. Miles has yet to comment on the injury, which is where the speculation is coming from that he could be out for this week.
