The Ohio State Buckeyes entered the 2014 season with huge expectations.

More from College Football

The Buckeyes entered last week’s game with the Virginia Tech Hokies with a perfect 25-0 regular season record under head coach Urban Meyer. However, before the season, they lost star quarterback Braxton Miller for the season due to a shoulder injury. He was replaced by freshman J.T. Barrett and he struggled in the Buckeyes’ season-opening 34-17 victory over the Navy Midshipmen. On Saturday, they saw that streak snapped with a 35-21 home loss to the Hokies. Now the Buckeyes will be looking to rebound on Saturday afternoon when they host the Kent State Golden Flashes.

The Golden Flashes have gotten off to a terrible start, losing to the Ohio Bobcats 17-14 in week one and then falling to South Alabama 23-13 last week.

This should be a good opportunity to get Barrett more reps and experience before they kick off Big 10 play on October 4 against the Maryland Terrapins.

Ohio State is a 32-point favorite and the over/under is 49.
