Just a few months ago, Rolando McClain wondered if he’d be playing in the NFL.

A former first-round pick, McClain struggled with the Oakland Raiders and after two very odd ‘retirement’ announcements, the Dallas Cowboys decided they’d take a chance on the talented though rather odd linebacker.
There were no promises, but the Dallas Cowboys, in need of warm bodies on the defensive side of the ball gave McClain a chance. The linebacker took it and ran with it as not only did he make the Cowboys’ 53-man roster out of camp, he was named a starting linebacker.
McClain had a strong Week 1 performance against the San Francisco 49ers but has taken it to another level come Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans, capped with his impressive interception.
Dropping back, McClain was able to snag a throw from Jake Locker and maintained his concentration throughout, keeping the ball off the field to secure an interception. More than that, Rolando McClain proptly got on his feet and ran the ball back for a touchdown as his Dallas Cowboys teammates cheered him on.
Unfortunately for McClain and the Dallas Cowboys, a referee had blown a whistle after McClain secured the catch. A review did confirm that the play was made, though because of the whistle the touchdown would not count.
Then again, it’s not as if the Dallas Cowboys were in need of the score as they’re currently giving the Titans a dressing down.
