It’s been a rough few months for one-time Dallas Cowboys star Marion Barber.

You may recall, the former running back was the subject of a police standoff back in June where he was alleged to have taken a loaded handgun into a church and began speaking erratically while showing off the weapon. That lead to the police being called and Barber being taken to jail where he was held for mental evaluation.
Barber, who once scored 16 touchdowns in a season for the Dallas Cowboys was released though has not been seen or heard from much since. Now, according to TMZ, a former teammate suggests Marion Barber needs help.
"One former NFL teammate — a fellow superstar who didn’t want to be named because he maintains a close friendship with Barber — says, “He needs help, I care about him.”We also spoke with former Cowboys cornerback Brian McCann — who played with Barber in 2010 — who says the Marion he knew was a “fun-loving guy.”“[The Marion described in the police report] doesn’t sound like him at all. He never seemed like a troubled guy.”“He was the team jokester. He showed me you can still have fun at this level.”"
The entertainment website says they’ve attempted to contact Marion Barber but he has not been home since the June incident.
Hopefully everything is okay with Barber and when he’s ready, he’ll get the help he allegedly needs.
A former star at Minnesota, Marion played seven NFL season (six with the Dallas Cowboys, one with the Chicago Bears) and amassed 59 scores in that time span.
