The Cleveland Indians are battling to stay in the playoff hunt, though right now things are not looking great for Terry Francona’s plucky squad.

More from Cleveland Guardians

Saturday night the scrappy Indians lost a tough one at home against Detroit when their bullpen gave up two runs in the 8th, and at least one fan didn’t appreciate having to watch such a disappointing performance after driving all the way from Michgan.

And Jason Kipnis didn’t appreciate the fan’s criticism.

The fan said:

Kipnis replied:

To his credit – I guess – the fan did not back down.

Kipnis got in the last word.
