The San Francisco 49ers officially opened their new stadium, Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, hosting the Chicago Bears in the first ever regular season game, on Sunday night.

More from NFL

The 49ers have got off to a great start, taking a 17-0 lead behind a dominating defense. However, the Bears did get on the board to cut the lead to 17-7 at the half.

Part of the 49ers’ new stadium will celebrate a franchise that has won four Super Bowls and has produced some of the greatest players in NFL history, including the best wide receiver of all-time, Jerry Rice. Rice, who has 1,549 career receptions for 22,895 yards and 197 touchdowns, officially showed off his new statue on Sunday.
