Robert Griffin III left the game for the Washington Redskins in the first quarter with a leg injury he suffered while trying to complete a pass on the run. Despite the loss of their star quarterback, Washington rolled to a 41-10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

More from NFL

Kirk Cousins completed 22-of-33 passes for 250 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in his fill-in work. To help him out, the running game got it done. Washington rushed for 191 total yards and three touchdowns.

The final nail in the coffin came on Silas Redd’s 14-yard run. Redd started to run off the right tackle, but quickly cut back and reversed field. He broke containment and ran the full 14 yards to put the Washington football team up 41-10 with less than two minutes to go.

It’s not yet known how long Griffin will be out for, but he was carted off the field. That’s never a good sign. But teams can be in a worse spot without its starting quarterback than Washington. Cousins has plenty of experience, and the Redskins running game, which has rushed for 322 total yards in the first two weeks, is capable of carrying the offense.

The running game is led by Alfred Morris and has plenty of depth with Roy Helu and, apparently, Redd.
