Tillman, 33, injured his triceps in the Bears 29-20 win on Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers and was seen with tears streaming down his face on the broadcast and did not meet with the media after the game.
The Pro Bowl cornerback re-signed with the Bears for one year after his 2013 season was cut short with a torn triceps, the very same injury he is believed to have sustained on Sunday.
Tillman will not be eligible to return to the team after the Bears already used the designated to return option on injured receiver Marquess Wilson who fractured his collarbone in training camp.
Could this mean he played his last game in a Chicago Bears uniform?
It very well could after the team let him explore free agency after an injury-shortened season and at 33 could be replaceable considering the team spent their first round pick on Kyle Fuller who had two interceptions on back-to-back possessions on Colin Kaepernick that put the Bears in position to overcome a 17-point deficit and pull off the comeback.
Tillman has spent his entire career with the Bears since they used their second round pick (35th overall) on the Louisiana-Lafayette product. He was named to two Pro Bowls and was a 2012 All-Pro.
He has 36 interceptions, 42 forced fumbles, 11 fumble recoveries, nine touchdowns and played in 156 games as a Bear with 152 coming as a starter.
Will he see game 157 with the Bears?
