Chicago Bulls’ Derrick Rose ready to go
After playing in just 49 games over the last three seasons, Chicago Bulls’ point guard Derrick Rose feels like he’s finally ready to go. He’s spent the last month getting ready by playing with Team USA in the FIBA World Cup and although he wasn’t without his struggles, he thinks he’s ready to go.

“I’m going to transfer this onto next season with the Bulls,” Rose told Mark Woods of ESPN.com. “It’s really helped me with my recovery. Being off the floor, taking care of my body, eating right. I was feeling good every time I stepped on the floor, stretching every time, I think it’s going to help me with the Bulls season.
“This has gotten my body accustomed. I haven’t been playing in a long time. I still have to get my rhythm back. But as far as I’m concerned, I think I performed well. Making this team was enough for me. The championship was the cherry on top, just coming here, performing in front of this great crowd. Just coming here. Now, sad to say, I have to put this behind me and concentrate on playing for the Bulls.”
After adding Pau Gasol and Nikola Mirotić in the offseason, a healthy Rose could make the Bulls legitimate title contenders.
Rose averaged 15.9 points, 4.3 assists and 3.2 rebounds in 31.1 minutes per game while shooting 35.4% from the field, 34.0% from beyond the arc and 84.4% from the free throw line in 10 games last season season. In his career, he has averaged 20.8 points, 6.8 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game while shooting 46.0% from the field, 31.2% from three and 81.5% from the charity stripe.
