The Philadelphia Eagles entered the second half of their game against the Indianapolis Colts needing to mount a comeback. Having scored only six points in the first half, Chip Kelly and the boys were left searching for ways to get their vaunted offense back on track.

Looking for answers, the Eagles turned to their running game. With that outstanding offensive line and the option to hand the ball to LeSean McCoy, that strategy hardly comes as a surprise. There is one thing that is different this season, however, and that is this: the Eagles have another star running back to get the ball to in space.

That back would be the diminuitive Darren Sproles, signed this past off-season after a number of successful seasons with the New Orleans Saints. In his Philadelphia career so far, Sproles has been used in the passing game and on the ground.

With his team down by seven points, Sproles came through with an impressive touchdown run, breaking a number of tackles and running it in from 19 yards out.

With McCoy and Sproles at Kelly’s disposal, this should be an entertaining offense to watch once again this season.
