The Dallas Cowboys were the laughing stock of the NFL after their Week 1 throttling at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers. As if it had not been said enough in the past, media members around the country once again began to question Tony Romo’s leadership and the team’s shoddy defense.

More from Dallas Cowboys

Going into yesterday’s matchup with the Tennessee Titans, many expected the Cowboys to lose in laughably poor fashion yet again, but the team had plans of their own. Thanks in large part to a huge game from DeMarco Murray, the Cowboys dominated the Titans en route to a 26-10 victory.

The defense played well for the Cowboys, and allowed the offense to get in a rhythm as Murray led the charge down the field. In the end, Murray ran for 167 yards on 29 carries including a touchdown. Talk about a hefty workload, but ultimately it paid off.

While many Cowboys will certainly rest on their laurels this morning, DeMarco Murray knows that there is still a lot more to improve on

“We had a good day running the ball, but we definitely left some yards out there,” Murray told Cowboys media after the game. “We’ve got to get better on a few things, we’ll watch film and review it. It was a good victory for us, but we’ve got to clean it up a little bit.”

Murray did fumble the ball early on in the game, but went on to amend for his turnover with a monster stat line. If you own Murray in your fantasy football leagues, continue to reap the benefits as he and the Cowboys look to improve each week.
