The backlash against the Minnesota Vikings and running back Adrian Peterson continues to mount. Nike stores in the area have pulled his jersey from the shelves and have stopped selling it. Radisson hotels suspended their sponsorship of the Vikings in wake of the Vikings and their handling of the situation.

Now that list includes Peterson’s own charitable foundation.

From the organization’s website:

"Adrian Peterson’s All Day Foundation is on a hiatus as of September 16, 2014.The Foundation will reengage after Adrian, his family, and staff have reflected on how the current situation impacts the direction for Adrian’s philanthropy."

Right now Peterson is facing charges for child abuse, and there are reports of a prior incident surfacing. In the mean time, the Vikings deactivated Peterson for the second week of the NFL season, but reinstated him earlier this week drawing some sharp criticism from fans and pundits alike.

[UPDATE:] His foundation’s website has altered the message on their homepage.
