The Cleveland Cavaliers now have the NBA’s most talented roster, adding LeBron James and Kevin Love to Kyrie Irving, Dion Waiters and Tristan Thompson.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

Zach Lowe of Grantland believes Thompson will benefit greatly from the Cavaliers’ roster upgrade.

"No single player will benefit more than Thompson from this summer’s wild roster movement. Thompson’s third season was a depressing plateau, one that pegged his ceiling on offense as “skilled NBA mooch.” He is not a post-up threat and probably should not be allowed to even try it now that three of the world’s 20 best offensive players are in Cleveland. Thompson shot just 41 percent on post-ups last season, per Synergy Sports, and has one go-to move: a righty jump hook he lofts after a quick one-dribble attack from the left block."

The Cavaliers have a big decision to make on Thompson soon – they will have to decide whether or not to extend him and many feel they may decide to deal him rather than hang on to him.

Thompson, still just 23 years old, averaged 11.7 points and 9.2 rebounds per game while shooting 47.7% from the field and 69.3% from the free throw line. He was originally selected by the Cavaliers with the fourth-overall selection in the 2011 NBA Draft. In his three-year career, he’s put up 10.8 points and 8.6 rebounds per game while shooting 47.3% from the field and 63.0% from the free throw line.
