The Jacksonville Jaguars are 0-2 to start the NFL season, and the team is not going in the direction that fans hoped they would. An anemic offense led by Chad Henne could be to blame for the slow start, and that has fans and pundits alike calling for rookie quarterback Blake Bortles to get his chance.

Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley shut down the Bortles conversation earlier this week when he stated that Chad Henne is the starter and will be moving forward.

Henne has not been deplorable by any means this season thus far throwing for 459 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. But when things are not going well for an NFL squad, the quarterback is usually first to be blamed.

Henne is well aware that Bortles is waiting in the wings to take over the team, and noted today when talking with Jaguars media that “we need to win” in order to stave off Bortles.

Although Henne has Bradley’s support, it seems that offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch left the door open for Bortles to get playing time very soon with a comment he made today while talking with Jaguars media.

As of now, Henne will get the start against the Indianapolis Colts this weekend, but if his team is down big early on, it is possible that Bortles could be thrown into the spotlight in an attempt to salvage the Jaguars season.
