Although it took a little while for the Cleveland Cavaliers to ink Mike Miller to a contract, it was assumed the free agent swingman would eventually find his way to the franchise.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

A former teammate of LeBron James during his stint with the Miami Heat, Miller has become one of James’ favorite people and the two joining forces once again seemed like a foregone conclusion. Of course, it didn’t come without sacrifice as Mike Miller was coveted by many during the offseason, though opted to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers because of their title chances.

Miller left a significant amount of money on the table, a sacrifice he knows is needed to grab another ring.

”There’s no reason to have concern,” Miller explained. “I’ve been blessed enough to be in my 15th season. It’s going to take sacrifices. This team, as good as it looks on paper, if we’re going to be successful, people are going to have to sacrifice – whether it’s minutes, shots or financially – that’s the commitment it takes to win a championship. It’s never easy.”

In addition to Mike Miller, the Cleveland Cavaliers have signed a handful of veteran talent this offseason including Shawn Marion. It’s also possible the Cavs may attempt to sign Ray Allen, though the free agent currently remains in limbo regarding his NBA future.
