Seven teams are 0-2 out of the gate this 2014 NFL season. History says teams that start 0-2 do not have a good shot to make the postseason. In fact, looking at playoff teams during the Super Bowl era, just 33 of 470 playoff teams (7.02 percent) began their respective campaign with two straight losses.

Of the seven franchises stuck without a win after Week 2, two probably had no shot of playoff football anyway. The Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Giants are just bad football teams; anyone who thought they did enough this offseason to make a serious run at January football should be the focal point of an intervention.

But five of those franchises were supposed to have solid teams—three were preseason playoff locks. Now, though, these teams are looking for the reset button on their 2014 seasons.

Join me as we dig into why these five teams are winless.
