Ryan Hollins has reportedly agreed to a deal to sign with the Sacramento Kings, according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports. According to Spears, it is for a one-year deal that is fully guaranteed.

Before signing with the Kings, the Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs were reported to have expressed interested in the 29-year-old center.

Hollins figured to compete with Reggie Evans for minutes as the backup to DeMarcus Cousins. He isn’t much of a factor on offense, nor are his defensive skills necessarily refined, but he offers more in the way of athleticism.

Because his contract is reportedly guaranteed, it seems Hollins has a good shot at making Sacramento’s final roster. It will be interesting to see how coach Mike Malone utilizes Cousins, Hollins, Evans, Jason Thompson and Carl Landry and splits up those minutes in the front court.

Last season with the Los Angeles Clippers, Hollins averaged 2.3 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.5 blocks in 7.9 minutes per game.

The Kings roster now stands at 19. Team can carry up to 20 players through training camp but must trim the roster to a maximum of 15 by the regular season.
