The NFL jersey movement is one that is drive by youth, as you can’t go to a game or even down to the park during the fall months without seeing at least one kid in an NFL jersey of some sort.

More from Buffalo Bills

If you’re hanging around the Buffalo and Toronto area, chances are that jersey you see a kid wearing is going to be a C.J. Spiller one. In fact, it’s almost a 100 percent certainty that you will see kids wearing Spiller jerseys this year as according to DICK’s Jersey Report the youth vote counts for as much as 96 percent of Spiller’s total jersey sales.

You apparently can’t throw a stone at a park or playground without hitting a kid who is wearing a Spiller jersey and that’s important for a number of different reasons. First off, it shows that the youth are involved in football up in Buffalo which further highlights why it’s so important that the team decided to stay in the area.

Secondly, it shows that the ones most affected by the recent incidents of violence in the NFL are kids, as while we all get on high horses about morality, we’re forgetting that sometimes as much as 96 percent of a player’s jersey sales can come from kids so when they go astray from the law, that 96 percent is watching.

Thankfully, Spiller is an upstanding member of the Bills community and kids everywhere are wearing his uniform with great pride now that the team is staying put for the foreseeable future.
