In fact, Maguire probably thought he wouldn’t make his first start until next season after Jameis Winston presumably left for the NFL Draft (although Winston and his family continue to stay he will be coming back to school next season).

However, once the Seminoles decided to suspend Jameis Winston for the first half of the game after he jumped onto a table and scream obscenities Tuesday.

Maguire wasn’t the only one who wasn’t expecting him to play this week.

According to Brendan Sonnone of The Orlando Sentinel, Maguire’s parents gave away their tickets to the game because they didn’t think Maguire would be playing.

In his career, Maguire has completed 16-of-26 passes for 144 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. He’s three-of-fifve for 28 yards this season.
