The biggest battle to watch this NFL season might not actually have anything to do with something that happens on the field, rather it could be in the jersey sale department between two of the most famous –and polar opposite– quarterbacks in the league, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning and Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel.

According to the latest DICK’S Sporting Goods Jersey Report that was released, which logs sales both nationwide and online, Manning is the top selling jersey of the past 30 days. However, so far this season, he still trails Manziel, who has been tops in the league for quite some time now.

Now of course, with all of the hoopla coming into the season with Manziel, it’s not a huge shocker that he is tops on the list still this early into the year. As the season progresses, though, and Manning lights the world on fire once again while Manziel rides the bench, which it looks as if he will be for a while, the tide could be changing soon and Manning could be on top.

As Manning begins to make his presence felt throughout the year, especially if the Broncos are going to play like they have been the first two weeks, then those sales will most certainly be on the rise, and Johnny Football could be taking a tumble from being the king of the jersey sale mountain.
