Seattle Seahawks vs Denver Broncos

The Seattle Seahawks are Super Bowl champions but they’ve already lost a game this season and are poised to either replay history on Sunday afternoon or fall to 1-2 on the year. That’s a mark no one saw Seattle dropping to but through three weeks of the season not many saw a loss on the Denver Broncos’ record.

One of the two scenarios is going to play out on Sunday afternoon in Seattle as the Super Bowl rematch will no doubt be one of the most watched games of the week.

Keys to Victory

The Denver Broncos know what they need to do in order to beat the Seattle Seahawks — get through the defense. That’s a lot easier said than done as the Broncos scored just 8 points against the defense in the Super Bowl less than a year ago and they now need to find a way to make sure that doesn’t happen again.

In addition to getting past the defense, the Broncos need to get over the noise inside of CenturyLink Field, as next to the 49ers game there later this season, may be the loudest game that is played at the stadium all season long.

That’s doesn’t mean the Seahawks are guaranteed to win though as they still need to get past a much improved Broncos defense. It’s something that they didn’t have a problem doing last year but guys like T.J. Ward and DeMarcus Ware are now in town with Aqib Talib which makes it a very different defense than the one Seattle obliterated in Super Bowl XLVIII.

Betting Odds

Point spread:  Seahawks -5
Moneyline:  Broncos +200
Over/Under:  49

Prediction

This is going to be a revenge game and the Broncos are not only going to want to win but they’re going to want to blow the Seahawks up. They saw that it was possible last week with the three touchdown performance by the Chargers and now the Broncos smell blood in the water.

It may not end up being a blow out win, but the Broncos beefed up their roster this offseason for the very game — or games like this one which means that Denver is going to be coming all out this Sunday. Wes Welker is back, DeMarcus Ware is hungry and the Broncos are ready to show the world that the Seahawks won’t pull the wool over their eyes twice.

Final Score: Broncos 41, Seahawks 24
