SNY analyst Chris Carlin does not like Derek Jeter. Not to the point where he’s doesn’t like him as a player, but he just does not respect him. Jeter, on his farewell tour this year in his 20th and final season in the MLB, has had critics arise for the way he’s been worshipped in the media and in baseball while putting up average numbers.

“Yo, this clown’s a fraud.” Carlin said on the show after mentioning the Gatorade commercial featuring Jeter. “And you are all suckers. This is now grand commercial No. 2 on the farewell tour. And it’s not just the tour — Mariano Rivera did that. It’s not just that Derek Jeter’s doing commercials.

“It’s that this has never been what Derek Jeter has been about. He has been about team, not me. He has never let us into his personal life because he’s always been about the team. He frankly is being a complete fraud right now.”

Here’s the video:

Gatorade released a new commercial starring Jeter in New York City and the Bronx and mingling with fans.

Derek Jeter undoubtedly deserves the press he is given. The 14-time All-Star with the New York Yankees will forever be a major league baseball legend and gentleman of the game.
