Roger Goodell says he has not considered resigning
By Sam Richmond
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has seen many fans and media members alike call for him to step down from his current position.
However, Goodell insisted once again on Friday during a press conference that he has no plans to re-sign.
It’s not a shock to see Goodell stand firm on his position to remain commissioner.

While there’s public pressure to step down, there’s little from NFL owners, who are the people who actually matter in this situation. Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones went as far as to say on Sunday that Goodell has support from every league owner, according to the Boston Globe.
"“I know he has 100 percent of support – it’s my understanding 100 percent of support – of all the owners,” Jones told reporters after Dallas beat Tennessee on Sunday."
With Goodell poised to hang on as commissioner, it will certainly be interesting to see if he can regain trust from the public after the enormous hits his reputation has taken in recent weeks due to the Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson situation. Goodell also apologized for how he handled the punishment with Rice’s domestic dispute on Friday.
Goodell has been the league’s commissioner since 2006.
