With his typical ahh shucks demeanor, Denver Broncos’ quarterback Peyton Manning will often dismiss his career accomplishments by saying that all they prove is that he is an old man.

What Manning should know is that the University of Tennessee has the most conclusive proof yet that their famous alum is getting long in the tooth.

As reported by the campus site Torchbearer and passed along by Bryan Fischer of NFL.com, there are a number of freshman students at Tennessee this season who are named Peyton.

There are boy Peytons and girl Peytons, with 19 of them total in this year’s class of freshmen.

It can be a risky game, naming your kids after professional athletes. Even the best of them can let you down and make you seriously question the decision. It is even riskier when the name is so distinct to one famous figure as it is here with Peyton Manning.

Thankfully for these families, Manning has done little to let them down in his illustrious career and over the course of the last 18 years, both with his accomplishments on the field and how he handles his business off of it.
