Despite appearing in last week’s win over the San Francisco 49ers, Chicago Bears wide receiver duo in Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery are doubtful heading into week 3 versus.

More from Chicago Bears

From NJ.com:

"Allen and Walls may or may not have to contend with the Bears’ top receivers, Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall. They are both listed as questionable — Jeffery with a hamstring injury, Marshall with an ankle injury.Jeffery was limited every day this week — Thursday through Saturday. Marshall didn’t practice Thursday or Friday. He was limited Saturday. Both receivers played in last week’s win at the 49ers after being listed as questionable with the same injuries they now have."

If last week showed us anything, these receivers are pivotal to how the Chicago Bears operate. Quarterback Jay Cutler fed Marshall and Jeffery for a combined 8 receptions, 95 yards, and 3 touchdowns — all three touchdowns belonged to Marshall who dominated against the 49ers secondary.

Unless the injury majorly impacts how both Marshall and Jeffery move on the field or could negatively impact the duos health in the immediate future, hampering the teams ability to contend for a playoff smart in the later weeks of the NFL season, these two will be on the field come kick off.

On the season, Marshall and Jeffery have helped the Bears to the 9th best offense in the league — they’re second in receiving touchdowns behind the Atlanta Falcons who played this past Thursday.

The Chicago Bears face the New York Jets in Week 3.
