The Minnesota Timberwolves seem primed to make another move before the regular season starts but fans don’t really know what that move will be.

More from Minnesota Timberwolves

On Friday it was reported that the Wolves were ready to offer Eric Bledsoe a max offer sheet and today the trade winds are blowing again. Minnesota desperately wants to flip J.J. Barea onto someone else and it appears that a signing out west may be helping them to that resolution.

According to Darren Wolfson from ESPN1500 in Minneapolis, the signing of Ramon Sessions with the Sacramento Kings helps Barea’s trade value in that it takes another guard off the market.

Minnesota’s best bet seems to be waiting for an injury to create a need for Barea, as no team in their right mind is going to take a chance on him otherwise. He has a bad contract, isn’t an elite starter and has issues with his game. But he’s still someone that can fill a need and that’s what the Wolves are hoping for with his trade value as the season approaches.
