Although Larry Sanders has continually been rumored to be on the Milwaukee Bucks’ trade block, it seems as if the new regime is a big fan of the forward/center.

More from Milwaukee Bucks

Given that, the oft-troubled Sanders seems likely to remain with the Bucks moving forward and plans to do so in impressive style.

Larry Sanders, who is one of the better rebounding talents in the NBA has decided to wear ‘goggles’ this season, emulating some of the legends of league past. The Milwaukee Bucks center confirmed the news on Twitter and posted the following photo.

As you can see, they’re not exactly true goggles but more glasses. Of course, we haven’t really seen a player rock true goggles since Horace Grant’s tenure with the Orlando Magic (and eventually he changed to glasses as well). Still, it’s a pretty fly look. Now if he’d just bust out the short shorts like Chris Douglas-Roberts, you might have difficulty telling him apart from a mid-1980’s version of Dennis Rodman.

In terms of why Larry Sanders is wearing the glasses, it’s presumed to be nothing more than a safety measure. You often see those in the paint getting poked in the eye, something that could prevented with the frames.
