The NBA season is right around the corner and that means we’re going to be hearing more and more about the rookie class this year and how they may impact the future of the game.

More from NBA

The class is highly touted and could very well represent the future of the NBA the way the 1996 NBA Draft class did for the 2000s. One of the best names in the draft is forward Aaron Gordon and the Orlando Magic are banking on him being a star for them one day.

Gordon is banking on his fans to help his jersey sales, as the 18-year old has a very unique birthday wish for all his followers. The rookie tweeted out that he wants fans to buy  his jersey as a birthday present to him, which helps him out since he gets a cut of the profit for his namesake.

Gordon joins Victor Oladipo in Orlando as the faces of the future for the franchise. The pieces are finally all picked up in the aftermath of Dwight Howard leaving as Orlando has a solid young team with a bright future.

He may be asking fans to buy his jersey now, but it might not be long before Gordon doesn’t have to think twice about how well his jersey is selling in the Orlando area.
