Russell Hansbrough had been the forgotten man in the Missouri Tigers offense with Maty Mauk taking his game to heights not seen since Chase Daniel was at quarterback for Mizzou, but the 5-9 running back made people remember his name vs. Indiana.

Hansbrough served as the understudy to Henry Josey last season in the Missouri backfield and began the 2014 season with 126 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries, but in the two games since the opener has only rushed for a total of 132 yards on 27 carries.

With one carry against the Hoosiers defense, Hansbrough picked up half of that with a 68-yard touchdown run to tie the game up at 14.

Credit the Hoosiers defense for slowing down Mauk and the Missouri offense for much of the first half, but if the passing game can’t get on track, they could look to the forgotten man who just may keep their undefeated record in tact if he gets a big workload in the second half.

Hansbrough currently has four carries for 112 yards and the touchdown.
