The Boston Celtics are trying to rebuild their roster after the completely re-tooling the front office did last year in trading away Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry. There are still trade rumors surrounding Rajon Rondo but the team seems more focused on getting a roster spot for Evan Turner than they do with trading Rondo.

Turner and the Celtics agreed to a free agent deal earlier this summer but thanks to there being no roster space in Boston, the team has yet to add Turner to the lineup.

According to A. Sherrod Blakely of CSNNE.com, the Celtics are expected to have figure out their roster by training camp and have found a way to fit Evan Turner on the roster.

Turner was a bust with the Philadelphia 76ers and an even bigger disappointment with the Indiana Pacers but there is hope that he can latch on with the Celtics. He could end up being part of the growing young culture in Boston and come out as a veteran leader.

It’d be a redemption story to say the least, as Turner has been less than stellar his whole career yet he harbors talents that could make him into a star for the Celtics.
