Texans vs Giants inactives: Arian Foster ruled out
Houston Texans running back Arian Foster has officially been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium due to a hamstring injury. He’s been questionable all week and his inactive status became official Sunday

With Foster out, backup Alfred Blue will be getting touches. The rookie sixth round draft pick from LSU will have big shoes to fill, despite Foster being a fragile player the last couple years after breakout seasons 2010-2012.

The Texans come into the game a surprising 2-0 after decisive victories over the Redskins and Raiders. The Texans tied for second in the league in turnover differential and the winless Giants are last in the category.
Houston’s two wins already ties their win total for last year when they finished 2-14. The Texans posted the worst turnover margin in football in 2013 at minus-20, but they’re at plus-5 — just behind Carolina at plus-6.
Houston’s defense, with the addition of Jadeveon Clowney, has only allowed 20 points, the lowest total in the NFL.
The Giants are again first with six giveaways, leaving them at minus-6 in turnover margin. They haven’t caused a turnover in their first two games for the first time since 1972.
The Texans without Arian Foster will look to the defense to make stops against the Giants and even score some points.
