WWE Night of Champions results: John Cena defeats Brock Lesnar via DQ

Brock Lesnar vs John Cena (WWE World Heavyweight Championship)

John Cena is out first for this one to a chorus of boos. He looks all business. Lesnar is out next to some loud cheers from the crowd in Nashville. The introductions are then made and we’re ready to go.

The bell rings and Cena comes out firing but Lesnar gets him right in the corner and starts pounding away. Brock goes for a suplex but Cena blocks it. He hits Lesnar with the AA! But, Lesnar kicks out. What a flurry by Cena.

Immediately on the mat, Lesnar locks in the Kimura Lock. John is able to get himself to the rope. Lesnar then starts kneeing away at Cena by the ropes. After some more punishment, Lesnar hits the first German suplex. Immediately, though, Cena tries another flurry, but that ends pretty quickly. Again, Brock locks in the Kimura, but John gets a hold of the rope. Lesnar then starts stomping away near the apron.

Cena once again starts to get a few shots in, but he gets hit with another suplex. Brock tries a roll up, but Cena gets the rope again with his foot. Once again, Cena tries to come back, but all he gets is a vicious forearm off the ropes.

Lesnar hits Cena with another suplex. Brock just stalking Cena now.

After some more beatings, Cena hits another AA out of nowhere, but can’t get the pin. Brock then goes for the F5, but Cena gets out of it and John locks in the STF. Lesnar then counters that into a Kimura.

Cena hits another AA, can’t get the two count, but gets the STF locked in again. Brock gets to the rope, but Cena pulls him back again. He then hits Lesnar with a FOURTH AA, but out of nowhere Seth Rollins comes out. He takes care of Cena then hits the Curb Stomp on Lesnar and wants to cash in. However, Cena stops him, but because the bell never rang, Rollins is safe.

So, Rollins still has his briefcase. Lesnar still has the title. But Cena wins.
