Baltimore Ravens issue statement to fans in response to ESPN report
By Jack Crosby
Throughout virtually the entire Ray Rice saga, the Baltimore Ravens have not looked like the most stable organization in the NFL. This was brought to light even further last week with the report from ESPN Outside the Lines that there were many people within the organization that knew exactly what happened in that elevator.

Well on Monday, it was time for the Ravens to speak out, not being able to hide any longer.
With the fan base growing concerned with the reported way that the team handled Rice situation, the team and owner Steve Bisciotti sent out a statement to the fans on their official website, refuting the report from ESPN.
Below is a small excerpt from the release with comments from Bisciotti.
"“As I stated in our letter to you on September 9, we did not do all we should have done, and no amount of explanation can remedy that. But there has been no misdirection or misinformation by the Ravens. We have stated what we knew and what we thought throughout – from the original report of the incident, to the release of the first videotape, to the release of the second videotape, which revealed a much harsher reality. As we said in our response to ESPN’s questions on Friday, it was our understanding based on Ray’s account that in the course of a physical altercation between the two of them he slapped Janay with an open hand, and that she hit her head against the elevator rail or wall as she fell to the ground.”"
The team went much more in-depth on the matter, and you can read the entire statement from them to the fans at this link here.
Of course, as expected, this is now turning into the ultimate game of he said, she said between the Ravens and the media that is trying to basically out them as one of the worst run organizations in all of professional sports.
