Bowman Archibald commits to Wake Forest: Demon Deacons flip Miami Hurricanes’ pledge

Over six months ago, 3-Star tight end Bowman Archibald gave his pledge to the Miami Hurricanes.

Over the weekend, Bowman re-thought that commitment and decided to flip the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

“I love the campus and I love the coaching staff,” Archibald said of Wake Forest via Ryan Bartow of 24/7 Sports.

The 6’5, 244-pound Bowman, who also could wind up as a defensive end on the next level, is from Dade City, Florida and attends Pasco High School.Bowman is ranked as the country’s 17th-best tight end prospect, the 63rd-best overall prospect in the state of Florida and the 459th-best overall prospect in the class of 2015 according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.

There were many who thought Bowman could his commitment to the Auburn Tigers or Florida Gators and he also holds from the Alabama Crimson Tide and Oregon Ducks, so this commitment was certainly a surprise.

Bowman is the Demon Deacons’ 21st and highest-rated commitment in the class of 2015. Their class ranks 32nd nationally and seventh in the ACC.
