The Detroit Lions pulled off a convincing upset win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 3 thanks to a stifling defense fueled by the big men lining up front. Defensive tackles Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley led a defense that sacked Packers QB Aaron Rodgers twice and limited him to just 162 passing yards. Now Suh and the gang want to repeat that performance every week for the rest of the season.

“I think we have an opportunity to dominate every particular game,” Suh said per M Live Sports. “At the end of the day, regardless of who we have in front of us — Aaron Rodgers, Cam Newton — we should be successful.”

It’s safe to say the rest of the league is hoping that won’t happen. The Lions have long had secondary woes, but none of that mattered on Sunday even against one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

A dominant Lions defense makes this a pretty tough team to beat, given how the team’s offense usually fares thanks to QB Matthew Stafford and WR Calvin Johnson finding success on a near-weekly basis.

Stafford chimed in on the defensive performance with a simple message. “That’s pretty awesome. It’s complementary football.”
