The Jets found themselves down early 14-3 after the first quarter, but their 10 unanswered points have brought them back within striking distance against the Chicago Bears down just four points before half time.

More from Chicago Bears

After a 28-yard field goal by Nick Folk to make the game 17-6 on their previous drive, the Jets got the ball back and marched down the field on a 9-play, 77-yard drive that shredded just 3:36 off the clock late in the second half.

The drive started with a 16-yard first down completion from Jets quarterback Geno Smith to receiver Jeremy Kerley and after some runs by running back Chris Johnson, Geno found Kerley again, this time for a 19-yard touchdown strike. This made it a four point game at 17-13.

Ever since the Jets seemed almost incompetent in the first quarter after a Geno Smith pick six, the Jets have dominated this game. In week one, New York was able to get the win against a weak Oakland Raiders club, but then in week two they suffered an awful loss to the Green Bay Packers in a game that they led 21-3 in the first half. The Jets are trying to find their way and if they can get a win against Chicago tonight, a team that proved successful against San Fransisco last week in dramatic fashion, the Jets may not be so ignored in the AFC East race.
