While many expected the San Antonio Spurs’ proverbial ‘window’ to be closed last season, that didn’t end up being the case. If anything, the San Antonio Spurs flung their window wide open and maybe an additional door in the process.

More from NBA

Yes, they’re a year older and Father Time will eventually claim even the most talented, but it doesn’t sound like the San Antonio Spurs are ready to give up their crown just yet. That includes point guard Tony Parker, who informed Yahoo France that the San Antonio Spurs are likely to repeat as NBA Champions this season.

“I think it’s the right season. I think it’s a great challenge for us. For us to repeat, it would be unbelievable,” Parker said. “If we stay healthy, I like our chances.”

Shockingly, despite the success from the San Antonio Spurs organization, they’ve yet to repeat though it seems as if Tony Parker thinks this is their best opportunity yet.

Parker also went on to say that he expects to see a big season not only out of himself, but teammates like Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili as everybody took the summer off and shouldn’t have any reason to struggle with fatigue as the season goes on.

It’s not very often that we see the San Antonio Spurs beating their chest, but in fairness they have every reason to do so after their impressive run last year.

Will they be able to repeat, FanSided? Or will somebody have their number?
